Letter: Loving up those vanquished in elections just makes no sense

All Tobago recently demonstrated was how easily the whisperings of the god of hate, divisiveness and fear can make the voice of the people misspeak; also, how much and what type of work the Partnership has to do to take control of the National Conversation. The task ahead is not for the fainthearted, so we may as well wake up and smell the coffee!

If those who openly and resolutely oppose Kamla, Anand, Jack and this PP government are continued to be embraced and fattened, then the humiliation down the road is inevitable. It seems the PP leadership and strategists are not bloodthirsty enough.

You cannot be a governor unless you're prepared to sign the death warrants, so to kill off the putrid and toxic PNM elements that could and would continue to induce and spread their septicaemia if left to their own devices.

Too many of our non-PNM politicians believe that PNMism is a curable disease. They that do are deluded. Hugging a poisonous snake always backfires. PNM people will absorb your warmth and generosity, then drop a lethal bite on you as they feel strong enough.

History has shown us, time and time again, that loving up those vanquished in elections just makes no sense. With elections being at frequent intervals, when you have a dirty-tricks electoral opponent on the ropes, you don't back off, you finish them off so they won't gain a second wind or be saved by the bell and come back to torment you in the next round!

Mark my words! PNM is at the gates! It's we who allowed them there! Tobago is all the proof we need. It's time for Horatio to torch the bridge! Horatio is long on experience and time is short!
