Consumers will begin paying less for food from today - Thursday Nov. 15 - as a result of the removal of Value Added Tax (VAT) from thousands of food items.
However there will be no reduction on items that were already exempt from the tax.
Some food retailers appear to be confused about the list of exempt goods, saying the list is not clear enough.
