The paper said Warner told its reporter that the meeting was fruitful and the anti-crime measures will be officially documented and forwarded to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, who is head of the National Security Council.

The paper said Warner expressed concerns about the surge in the murders and asked Williams to use all their resources to bring down crime. Five persons have been killed since Friday night, bringing the country's murder toll for the year to 292, Newsday said.
