Overnight road repairs to Beetham sinkhole

The Ministry of works worked through the night to complete repairs to the sinkhole on the Beetham Highway near the lighthouse. It means that there should be an ease in the traffic chaos that was caused as a result of the closure of the highway.

The ministry closed the highway Thursday night to work on the damage. If offered an apology to motorists for the inconvenience caused.


On Friday morning the Water Taxi Service (WTS) added an extra sailing from San Fernando that departed at 7:15. It would have an extra sailing Friday afternoon, leaving Port of Spain at 2.30.

The additional service is because of the high demand for the service following the traffic congestion on the nation's roads.
