Photo story: Minister "Gypsy" Peters featured in new book Heroes of Mayaro

Retired school teacher Harricharan Narine paid a courtesy call on Minister of the Arts and Multiculturalism Winston "Gypsy" Peters on Wednesday to present the minister with a copy of his newly published book "Heroes of Mayaro".

Narine's work focuses on the individuals whom he and others believes to be exemplars of the south eastern Trinidad community. The minister is featured in the book along with personalities such as Patricia M. Lazama and Rushton Paray.

Narine gave Peters a stack of gratis copies of "Heroes of Mayaro". The minister thanked Narine and expressed his appreciation for Narine's acknowledgement of the many people who make Mayaro such a special place to live.
