Stacy continues Project Touch in Oropouche West

Oropouche West Stacy Roopnarine has conducted yet another initiative of Project Touch in her constituency.

She took the services to the people of Tulsa, Tennant and Ramcharan Trace on Tuesday, accompanied by the Chairman of the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation Premchand Sookhoo and councillor Scafte Awardi, together with officials from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure. Roopnarine is the junior minister in that ministry.

She Project Touch is aimed at taking services offered by her office directly to the people. She acknowledged that it is difficult at times for people to take time off to go to her office. She added that many people who need the services cannot get to the office because they are sick, elderly or in some other way handicapped.

Several residents met their MP and discussed their problems. They also said thanks for the work done in restoring roads.

Roopnarine said while many roads have been paved, there is still a lot of work to be done. She said she is working with the relevant authorities to get the work done.
