Minister of the Arts and Multiculturalism Winston Peters is hosting a reception Friday for 22 members of a visiting contingent of Nigerians, comprising senior government officials and artists who are in Trinidad for Carnival celebrations this year.
The delegation includes Chief Edem Duke, the Nigerian Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, George Ufot, Director of Culture and Johnson Odekina, Director of Tourism.
A media release from the multicultural ministry Thursday said the delegation will participate in the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival and hold interactive meetings with local officials on strategies that would enhance bilateral relations on Culture and Tourism.

They are also scheduled to tour a range of cultural sites and institutions as part of a fact finding mission as Nigeria seeks to improve and expand its own Abuja and Calabar Carnivals.
