Abdullah said the paper will highlight activities within the party and educate the public on governance and labour. It is just one of a series of initiatives to be rolled out during 2012 Abdullah told reporters.
"2012...is the year of the MSJ. We had made that announcement on the resignation of brother McLeod, saying that in 2012 we are going to make some major strides forward in building the political party into a very formidable force in the country," he said.
Abdulah said the newspaper's aim is to educate the public on the struggles of ordinary people to fashion "a new civilisation and better society".
He said initially the paper will cost about $2 a copy and will be available from MSJ officers and members of the executive. It is currently funded by the party.

Abdulah also said the MSJ will soon launch the Foundation for Social Justice, to engage in the work of public policy formation, debates and forums.
