KI dethrones Rikki Jai to take 1st place in Chutney Soca contest

KI is the 2012 Chutney Soca Monarch after beating out 17 others with his popular “Single Forever” ballad.

The judging was done by online voting and text messages. KI received 36,737 votes to win the $1 million first prize. Last year's monarch, Rikki Ja, placed secondf with 32,731 votes.
