An official delegation led by Sachin Pilot, India's Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology met the Trinidad & Tobago delegation.
Others members of the welcoming delegation included Malay Mishra, Indian High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago.
Members of the Trinidad and Tobago delegation were also present to greet the Prime Minister at the airport. They included Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner for Trinidad and Tobago to India and Ministers Surujrattan Rambachan, Kevin Ramnarine, Devant Maharaj, Fazal Karim and Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister and Head of the Public Service, Reynold Cooper.
She also plans to meet with the president of the Antar-Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad Bharat (Indian Council for International Cooperation).

The Prime Minister extended her sincere thanks the Government of India for the warm hospitality and said she is looking forward to a productive mission.
The theme of the visit is "Trinidad and Tobago–India 2012: Partnering for Diversification, Innovation and Investment". The aim is to engage several private and public sector companies and agencies in discussions targeted to attract investment and technical co-operation to Trinidad and Tobago.
Persad-Bissessar has several important engagements for the rest of the week, including a visit to the High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago.

One of her private engagements will be a dinner hosted by Lord Diljit Rana, a successful property developer, hotelier and a former president of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
