McLeod to be guest speaker at Toronto breakfast meeting

A group in Toronto known as "Friends of UNC Canada" is holding a breakfast meeting on Saturday at which Labour Minister Errol McLeod will be the guest speaker.

The group is the officially recognised Canadian affiliation of the United National Congress of Trinidad & Tobago.

The venue for the breakfast meeting is the Elite Banquet Hall & Convention Centre, 1850 Albion Road, Etobicoke in Toronto.
McLeod is the leader of the Movement for Social Justice, one of the five groups that make up the governing People's Partnership coalition in Trinidad & Tobago.

He is also the Member of Parliament for Pointe-a-Pierre and a former president general of the Oilfield Workers' Trade Union, a post he held from 1982 until his retirement in 2008. He served in Parliament between 1976 and 1981 as an elected member of the United Labour Front.
