U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder arrived in Trinidad Wednesday to attend a meeting with the heads of security for the Caribbean region.
The Organisation of American States (OAS) is hosting the Third Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas (MISPA III) at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Port of Spain. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the Government of Trinidad & Tobago.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will address the opening ceremony Thursday morning along with OAS Secretary General José Miguel Insulza.
The theme of the two-day meeting will be “police management”. During their discussions ministers and other the high-level participants will seek to build on three major areas:
