Letter: Colour Me Orange shows PP government cares

I commend the People’s Partnership Government for its anti-crime initiative, Colour Me Orange.

It is reaching out to the people. It is not gender or race bias but is truly a people’s government. The Government is trying to assist these people from hot-spot areas by providing them with the necessary skills to develop themselves so that they are elevated in society and become better people.

Seeing the Prime Minister walk into the event with “Twiggy,” a former PNM stalwart, shows that Kamla-Persad-Bissessar is the Prime Minister of the whole country and is helping people from all over.

She is trying to get our youths away from a life of crime and to change the gang mentality. The incident at the launch of the programme was unfortunate but it shows that these youths really need help, and that is what the Colour Me Orange project is going to do.
