Hans Hanoomansingh named to committee on Heritage Tourism

Media icon and Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Radio 104FM, Hans Hanoomansingh, has been named as a member of a special Advisory Commission on heritage tourism for Trinidad & Tobago.

The 16-member committee will advise the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Development Company Limited on the development and implementation of a comprehensive Heritage Tourism Program.

The chairman of the committee is Dr. Kumar Mahabir of the University of the West Indies. Other committee members are:

  • Hans Hanoomansingh - Chief Executive Officer Heritage Radio 104FM
  • Rawle Mitchell - Head Restoration Unit, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure
  • Shamshu Deen - Council of the National Trust
  • Louis B. Homer - Historian
  • Pearl Eintou Spinger - Emancipation Support Committee
  • Abraham Ali - President San Juan Business Association
  • Carlyle Dick - Technical Advisor to the Minister of Tobago Development
  • Sherma Mac Dougall Williams - Product Development & Destination Manager, Tobago House of Assembly
  • Dr. Leslie Ann Jordan-Miller - University of the West Indies
  • Primnath Gooptar - Sugar Heritage Village and Museum Project
  • Ricardo Bharath Hernandez - Santa Rosa First People Carib Community
  • Clyde Albert Allum - Chinese Association of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Pundit Jeevan Changoor Maharaj - Inter Religious Organisation
  • Andy Whitwell - Trinidad and Tobago In-Coming Tour Operators’ Association
  • Dr. Krishendaye Rampersad - Trinidad and Tobago National Commission for UNESCO
