Police in Trinidad & Tobago presented data Tuesday to show that serious crime dropped signficantly during the seven weeks since the declaration of a state of emergency.
The data compares crime statistics between the period August 21, 2010 to October 2, 2010 with figures for the same seven-week period in 2011, during the State of Emergency.

The figures show a major increase in firearms and ammunition seized. This is because of the emergency measures and an aggressive police operation.
