Public Service advice: Curfew pass a necessity when picking up passengers at airport

If you are planning a trip to Trinidad & Tobago during the State of Emergency chances are you might arrive at a time when the nightly curfew is in effect.

Please make sure of a few things for that trip:

  1. The person(s) picking you up at the airport must have a CURFEW PASS. Some police stations might advise you that such a pass is not necessary if the person you are picking up can show a boarding pass. The authorities in Port of Spain have advised JYOTI that the boarding pass alone is not good enough, so you'll have to apply for a CURFEW PASS that covers the curfew period for the relevant date
  2. The passenger(s) would also have to apply for a CURFEW PASS. This is available at the airport and the traveller would have to apply for it on arrival
Please ensure that you attend to these matters to save yourself unnecessary problems and possibly arrest for breach of curfew. If you don't have a pass, you should not be on the road during the curfew hours of 11 pm to 4 am.
