Ravi B charged; goes to court Sept. 27

Police have charged entertainer Ravi "Ravi B" Bissambhar with encouraging supporters to "throw missiles" on the stage during a performance almost six months ago. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 27. 

The alleged incident took place during the 2011 Chutney Soca Monarch final after-party on February 19, at Skinner Park, San Fernando.

Ravi B, who was the reigning Chutney Soca Monarch had just lost the title to Rikki Jai, who received the $2 million first prize. Bissambhar placed second and won $100,000.

After the results were announced he allegedly told the crowd to pelt something on stage if they were didn't approve of the result.
