The executive of the San Fernando East constituency of the opposition People's National Movement (PNM) is hosting a special event on Monday to discuss democracy within the party.
It's scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the constituency office on Coffee Street, San Fernando.
The subject for discussion is: "One Man One vote vs Delegate System".
PNM leader Dr Keith Rowley supports the system of one member one vote but the idea was rejected at the last convention of the party. However the party former leader and MP for San Fernando East, Patrick Manning, supports the delegate system.
The two other main political parties - the United National Congress (UNC) and the Congress of the People (COP) use the system to elect members of their executives and also the political leader.
