Heather and Amit have agreed to let JYOTI publish the pictures below of their daughter, our first grandchild, who was born on Monday August 1, 2011. Her name is Aurora.
She is named after the Roman Goddess of the dawn who renews herself every morning and flies across the sky, announcing the arrival of the sun. Aurora also represents the magnificent beauty of the universe.
In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named after the Roman Goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas. The aurora borealis most often occurs near the equinoxes and commonly believed to be a sign from God. (Above photos of Aurora by one of our daughters-in-law, Fazeela)
