He was commenting on the media hype over the establishment of an interministerial committee to oversee the multi-billion dollar Highway to Point Fortin project.
Warner reiterated that he is happy with the establishment of the committee, and suggested that the reporting on the issue seems to be based on a particular agenda.
"I have never seen such a non-issue struggling to become an issue," he said. He noted that it is not unusual for a government to set up such committees. And he m,ade it clear that no one is trying to cut him down, as suggested in media reports.

"I am happy for this Committee. Believe me I treasure it because it relieves me of the burden of having to explain almost on a daily basis to persons who would want answers for questions, sometimes I can't give," Warner said.
"And therefore if it comprises those constituencies inclusive of the Prime Minister, isn't that something wonderful to behold?".
He also commented on what some reporters have said is a changed personality, almost deriding those who make the suggestion.

"Some people say I am too pensive, some say I am laughing too much. Some say they find I am getting too tall, some say they find I am getting too short. Yesterday I am in Laventille, some people find I getting too fat, half a mile down the road they say they find I getting too thin. So I have reached the stage where nothing bothers me anymore".
