Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in response to a reporter's question about whether her cabinet changes have damaged her relationship with some of her ministers:

“I don’t think so. Initially, some persons may not have been so happy but at the end of the day we are a partnership. I think we all want to work, we all want to succeed.

"A personal pain cannot override the greater good and the greater good is better performance and delivery...I think members are beginning to understand that there was no personal malice or spite or ill will in anything that was done.”
