Warner's "football tsunami" coming Sunday?

Jack Warner has not yet delivered on his promise of a "football tsunami". However sources close to the Works and Transport Minister are saying it could come Sunday afternoon when Warner addresses his Chaguanas West constituents following a motorcade to celebrate Indian Arrival Day.

Warner was in Zurich on the official holiday so he is making up for his absence with the event Sunday.

The FIFA Vice President was suspended for 30 days from the world football body last Sunday based on a file from American Chuck Blazer, who was subsequently fired from his post as CONCACAF General Secretary.

Warner has appealed his suspension, saying the whole process was flawed and stacked against him. In addition he said the committee failed to consider all the evidence before making its decision.

Sources close to Warner are saying Warner will drop a "bombshell" when he speaks at Felicity on Sunday. That speech will be carried live on six national radio stations, which will also broadcast on the Internet.

Warner has said e-mails to FIFA Vice President Joseph "Sepp" Blatter will provide the evidence to clear his name. He has chosen the Jubilee Recreation Ground at Cacandee Road, Felicity to speak out.

When Warner returned home from Zurich on Thursday night, hundreds of supporters from Chaguanas West and other constituencies joined some of his cabinet colleagues to welcome him him.
Warner has expressed his sincere thanks to them. In an email, he said, "There are no adequate words of thanks and appreciation that I can find to say for the outpouring of love and appreciation which my Parliamentary colleagues, Councillors, friends and well wishers showered me on my arrival last night (Thursday).

"And to think that I had asked not to be met! Last night's gesture will remain with me until the grave! I will be seeing all at Sunday's Indian Arrival Day motorcade and I shall be speaking then as well.

"Once again let me reiterate my very sincere thanks to all."
