Tobago's airport to be renamed ANR Robinson Airport

Crown Point International Airport in Tobago is to be renamed the Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport.

Prime Minister confirmed that on Monday when she opened the El Socorro North Access Roads.

“We have an airport to be renamed. The Cabinet has agreed to rename the Tobago airport the Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson Airport,” she said.

The Prime Minister said Tobago can look forward to "a lot of good things" next week ahead of the one year anniversary of the People’s Partnership coalition government in office on May 24.

The island is getting 16 buses to for its public transportation network. In addition the PM has “a bus filled with computers to take to Tobago.”

Persad-Bissessar said cabinet will meet in Tobago on May 19 and while she is there she will turn the sod for an integrated campus for use by UWI, UTT and COSTAAT.

Speaking about the the infrastructural works taking place across the country, Works and Transport Minister Jack Warner said it is all happening only because of the change of government.

Warner said the developments taking place show that the People's Partnership "can do plenty with little.”
