Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar told reporters Saturday the realignment of portfolios in the People’s Partnership administration does not involve the reshuffling of ministers.
He explained that it would involve the rearrangement of certain items that fall under various portfolios.
Persad-Bissessar first spoke about the changes in Woodland on Friday, when she said she would make some changes in June.
ON Saturday reporters raised the issue with her at a Mothers' Day function at Rienzi Complex in Couva.
“I have been working on realigning portfolios in terms of items under various portfolios that do not seem to be a best fit to those we have newly aligned to other ministries,” she said.
Reporters asked specifically if it includes reshuffling of ministers. “At this time, no changes. Not at this time.”
