Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar left for Brazil Monday afternoon at the head of a delegation of Government Ministers and business leader to attend the World Economic Forum on Latin America in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Commenting on the 5-day business trip before her departure, Persad-Bissesssar said it will offer great investment opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago.
The official delegation includes the Prime Minister, Trade and Industry Minister Stephen Cadiz, Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Energy Kevin Ramnarine.
President of the Energy Chamber, Charles Percy, Larry Howai, President of the National Gas Company, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association Dominic Hadeed and TSTT Chief Executive Officer, Roberto Peon are also among the members of the business contingent.
Persad-Bissessar has stressed that the businessmen travelling with the delegation are paying their own expenses.
Finance Minister and leader of the Congress of the People, Winston Dookeran, will act as Prime Minister while Persad-Bissessar is away.
