“In each of us there is a Hanuman, despite the fact that we live in a mundane world where we are damned by individualism and materialism,” said Jack Warner in his message to his constituents of Chaguanas West at the Hanuman Jayanti celebration Sunday at the Charlieville Shiv Mandir in his constituency.
Warner stressed that the message from the katha (story from the Ramayan) indicated that “in life there is no quick fix.”
The MP who is rated the most popular MP reiterated that “since the People Partnership came into power everyone wants 40 % immediately."
He added, "No one wants to wait. Although prior they have been waiting and for years they waited with the last regime, today everyone under Mrs Kamla Persad- Bissessar wants a quick fix now.”
Warner also stressed that we have to give Persad-Bissessar the confidence "that we support her and its the beginning of a new dawn, a new era.”
The Works and Transport Minister urged each and everyone of the devotees present to “practice patience and humility like the author Tulsidas and like Hanuman.”
Warner who fasted and participated in the pooja was also honoured as the chief guest of the temple as members of his constituency paid reverence to him.
The Chaguanas West MP glowed as devotees crowned him with a pagree and offered arti, perfume, chandan and garland him.
Warner in response said, “There are no adequate words that I can find to express how I feel here today except to urge you to follow in the footsteps of that great deity Hanuman."
