Robert Charbonne has been appointed Chairman of the Vehicle Maintenance Company of Trinidad & Tobago (VMCOTT). Charbonne is former chairman of the National Maintenance Training and Security
Works and Transpsort Minister Jack Warner made the announcement Wednesday and presented instruments of appointment to the 10 members of VMCOTT’s Board at his ministry's offices in Port of Spain.
The minister praised Charbonne’s management of MTS, saying it was one of those companies which did not require funding from the state,. “Charbonne spent six years as the chairman of MTS where he took an insolvent company and made it a dream come true," Warner said.
He said he is confident that "just as he has turned things around there the same can be done here at VMCOTT under his stewardship because his work has proven that it can be done.”
Charbonne promised to “hit the ground running.”
