Journalists Andy Johnson and Clevon Raphael are moving into new jobs with the government of Trinidad and Tobago.
Johnson would be taking over as Chief executive Officer of the Government Information Srvices Limited (GISL) and will be a member of the official Government delegation, accompanying Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on her U.S. trip to the United Nations this month.
Raphael will be working with Attorney General Anand Ramlogan.
They are the latest recruits from the pool of journalists who have moved into government information since the new government took office.
Johnson issues a media release Monday confirming that he has been holding discussions on the GISL position and those talks are as yet "inconculsive". Ramlogan made it public that Raphael would be his 'right hand man".
The GISL post is currently held by Maxie Cuffie, who like Johnson, worked both in the Trinidad Guardian and the CCN media Group.
Another Guardian Journalist, Francis Joseph, is a special adviser to Works Minister Jack Warner. And Ken Ali, who assisted the government with media relations during the Tobago retreat, is also expected to take up a Government post.
