Jack Warner was in Manzanilla Sunday morning for breakfast with residents and supporters at the start of a day-long whistle stop rally through the East into Diego Martin and ending in his day with a rally in his Chaguanas West constituency.
The MP for the area, Colin Partap, joined Warner on a visit to the Manzanilla Fishing Depot where fishermen told the minister of problems of erosion by the sea that are creating severe hardship for them.
The Works Minister promised to send in a technical team from the ministry to have a look and make recommendations about what can be done to alleviate the problems.
Warner began the day with the release of two yellow and blue macaws into the wild at the Manatee Conservation Trust at Cocal Manzanilla. The birds rose to freedom to symbolise the People's Partnership slogan - "We will Rise".
