King sends 'fact finding mission' to UDeCOTT

Ministry of Planning personnel on Monday started examining documents at the Port of Spain office of the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT).

However, Planning Minister Mary King did not visit UDeCOTT as had been expected.

Instead, she sent an accountant and the ministry's deputy permanent secretary to examine UDeCOTT documents with instructions to report back to her when they complete the assignment.

UDeCOTT chair Jearlean John told the Trinidad Express she agreed to let the "fact finding mission" do its job.

She said she had resigned when the People's Partnership came into government but was asked to stay for a while.
