Prima facie, what's the difference between one person simultaneously holding a Cabinet post, while simultaneously holding a Member of Parliament post and one person holding a Cabinet post, while simultaneously holding a vice-presidency in an international non-profit sporting association?
If the vice-presidency thing is a source of bother, surely then it can be argued that our history is for MPs who also happen to be Cabinet Ministers would give preferential treatment to their constituencies, therefore no elected MP should be a Cabinet Minister, ent?
By the fruit one assesses the tree! The harsh reality is that in the case of the one who is the vice-president, he has always that position to the redounding benefit of all of Trinidad and Tobago, ent?
Let pragmatism, then, prevail!
