It's not clear if Rowley will speak at national meetings of the People's national Movement (PNM) because of his stand of several issues, including his public proclamation that the manning regime has been the most corrupt government in Trinidad and Tobago.
Despite that the PNM’s screening committee approved Rowley to run again in Diego Martin West as the lesser of two evils.
Party sources pressured the leadership to include Rolwey in the lineup of candidates because they feared that if he were excluded he would attack Manning during the campaign. By making him one of the team, the party has muzzled Rowley.
A constituency official told Newsday Rowley will speak at several smaller spot meetings throughout Diego Martin West and end his campaign in Carenage on May 21.
