Letter: Wendy's folly can hurt unity

Wendy Lee Yuen has done more harm to the movement to save the nation from PNM corruption and mismanagement than she can imagine.

This cannot be the official COP position. And assurance of this should be immediately forthcoming.

Wendy has automatically disqualified herself from candidacy as she would be a future threat in a coalition government.

The UNC team must move both with greater caution and speed to come to agreement on unified candidates.

Kamla must make this her first priority on her return. A quick word with Dookeran overseas is necessary.

The COP is also trying to foist its 2007 manifesto on the public. A new document that does not conflict with UNC proposals for the future is necessary.

The combined opposition must set as its priorities the setting right of things that have gone awry, the furtherance of correcting basic issues like crime, health, water, agriculture, TTRA and Property tax review plus the halting of the Rapid rail and other mega projects.

One further top priority is the prosecution of corrupt officials with particular attention to the recommendations of the Uff Commission.

Hopefully Wendy Lee Yuen may come to realize her folly.
