Letter: Opposition can win by default, but must be careful

The PNM is down and the Prime Minister is causing everybody to guess his next move.

A combined Opposition can win by default, by people voting against the Prime Minister and the PNM.

This needs to be factored in all future discussions/negotiations in order to achieve sustainability.

A starting point must not be who you do not want on the team. Politics is the art of the possible.

The culture of the Opposition party is different to the PNM.

Winning without this in mind will make governance difficult and short-term. The last thing you want happening is a collapse of a government as soon as it enters office.

The Prime Minister has hit the road walking some time now. How is the Opposition walkabout going these days? Who has the head start?

The Opposition must take note of the backbenchers without whom the party could be obliterated.

Just one explosive comment from them and people will have doubts about the leadership. The last thing anyone wants is voters in doubt who will stay at home.

Voice of the People Rally is a Red Flag Take Note.
