PNM chairman Conrad Enill told reporters all 41 constituencies unanimously endorsed the resolution, which in effect tosses out attempts by Keith Rowley's Diego Martin West constituency to get a motion of no-confidence in Manning taken before the council.
A report in Newsday stated that the resolution noted Manning’s role "in steering the country through “difficult times” both in Government and in Opposition as well as his vision for taking Trinidad and Tobago to First World status by 2020.
"It also noted his commitment to developing the national economy despite the recent international recession and his ability to manage inflation."
It quoted Enill as saying that the resolution had the support of the Womens’ League, the Youth League and the Legislative Group.
