Letter: Kamla can be next Prime Minister

After having seen what this Government is all about and the blatant disregard they have expressed to those who put them in office, I am convinced that Kamla would be the best choice for Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.

The reasons are simple:
We have never had a woman Prime Minister in Trinidad and Tobago before
Women make better managers than men
The world is in a state of anarchy today because of male leadership

If Kamla campaigns on the premise that Trinidad needs a feminine leader to be more sensitive to the plight of the poor, there is nothing that can stop her from winning the next election.

I want Kamla to know that I am prepared to campaign for her in the East and I know I am influential enough to win the seat for her.

P. Duncan,

Yes! Organize your community, not just for Kamla's leadership but because everyone should organize for social change. Grassroots feminist organizing (with pro-feminist men)is powerful, and can speak truth to the plight of poor and marginalized people. With a well organized grassroots core of socially conscious people, the politicians will have to come to you. People have the power, so long as they are courageous enough to excercise it.
