Letter: Thanks for making UNC hold election

Mr. Warner I would like to thank you for clearing the pathway for change. You called for change during the Movement for Change campaign and change is coming.

Without you we would be having an election. For four years now we have called for internal elections and it was suppressed. You were the one who decided to lead the fight for it.

You were ostracised but it was for the better of the party and the nation.

Thank you for fully endorsing Kamla in the UNC leadership race. Kamla has fought in the political trenches moving up the hierarchy and now’s the time for her to emerge as leader.

She is strong, confident and the one to lead the party forward. The timing is right. I really believe that along with other Trinbagonians this is the way to transform the UNC and the only way to bring the change we seek.

Our country is crying out for change. You have given women a chance. Mr. Warner together you too can be part of the political solution this country needs.

Mr. Warner, you as Chairman and Mrs. Bissessar as Political Leader; an unbeatable team. If Kamla is successful she will be the first female leader of the UNC, then one step further and the first female Prime Minister.

She will empower women and young girls to seek equality in our country where every creed and race finds an equal place. Some may even strive to be powerful women in politics.

It’s a whole new beginning for politics and a more than welcome change for the country.

And its all because of you Mr. Warner. My support is with you and Kamla. I call you "WarKam"
