Two men have been charged in the killing of a 49-year-old German in Tobago. One suspect appeared in court Monday, while the other was in the hospital for unknown reasons.
The two do not have attorneys and are not expected to plead until the preliminary inquiry begins.
Police have not revealed a motive in the slaying of Peter Taut, whose body was found on Nov. 1 in a shallow grave at his home in the neighborhood of Bacolet along the island's southern coast.
It is the same neighborhood were a British couple was brutally attacked with a machete in August.
