No breakthrough in Garcia murder

Police are questioning five men about the brazen murder of Peter Garcia who was shot and killed earlier in the week while he was handcuffed and being escorted by police to the Rio Claro Police Station.

They have not laid charges but say who they believe the men can help them solve the murder. Two brothers, aged 19 and 20, are among the group that was picked up at a house at Coalmine, Sangre Grande in north east Trinidad.

Police also held two other suspects and are questioning them about the getaway car used by Garcia's killers.

Garcia's father, Harvey Huggins, told media on Monday it is common knowledge that one man wanted his son killed and he said everyone in the village where he lives knows the name of the man.
