Authorities in Barbados have announced the second swine flu death. Chief medical officer Dr. Joy St. John said Monday the adult patient had underlying medical conditions, but provided no further details.
The first death was announced Sept. 29.
Barbados has recorded 114 cases of swine flu so far.
The World Health Organization has reported more than 340,000 confirmed cases of H1N1 throughout the world, and more than 4,100 deaths from the virus.
