118 cases of Swine Flu in T&T

Trinidad and Tobago has so far confirmed 118 cases of the Swine Fly (Influenza A/H1N1 virus), with two of the latest victims being students of the Grant Memorial School, San Fernando, who are being treated at home.

The Ministry of Health said Wednesday only three of the 118 cases are currently active.

"The persons infected remain isolated and are receiving the care they need. All other cases (115) have been cleared and have returned to their normal activities."

The Ministry said it expects a second wave of the virus around this time of the year and has modified its protocol for dealing with the virus.
