The Soca Warriors kept the Trinidad and Tobago flag flying high Wednesday night in a tense 1-0 victory over El Salvador in the 2010 FIFA World Cup CONCACAF Zone Final Round qualifier at the Hasely Crawford Stadium Wednesday night.
Stiker Cornell Glen netted a seventh minute goal to give Trinidad and Tobago the early lead that it never surrendered.
The result was Trinidad and Tobago’s first victory in the final round qualifiers, but the team remains low in the rankings with the Warriors and the vistors both having five points from six matches.
The next game in the qualifiers is on September 5. The Soca Warriors will be in Honduras and El Salvador will host the United States.
