Every Easter in Trinidad and Tobago effigies of Judas (known as bobolees) are beaten and trashed as part of the local tradition.
But this year, photographer Max Ottley found that there was another message in the anger against Judas.
One Judas symbolizes one of the most pressing national issues in the country today - the high cost of living, driven by escalating food prices. And it is a also commentary on the solution some people find in alcohol.
