No shortage of fuel in T&T

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar assured the nation Wednesday that there is no shortage of fuel in Trinidad and Tobago as a result of the state of emergency and curfew that was declared on sunday night.

She made the point in response to rumours about a shortage while delivering the feature address at the sod turning for a new police station in Arima. The rumours caused some panic buying.

Persad-Bissessar said the National Petroleum Marketing Company Limited has assured her that it will continue to deliver fuel and that the travelling public can be assured that supplies will be made to all its services stations as normally scheduled.

"In light of recent misinformation and rumours, please always check your source of information to ensure that it is accurate to avoid unnecessary panic," she advised citizens.
