Fitzgerald Hinds' comment about Keith Rowley's skin being too dark to be elected literally made me laugh out loud.
That is the furthest thing from the truth and i want to say that, prior to us getting to know him MANY of us, especially members of the 'middle' who gave birth to the ONR, the NAR, the COP and finally the Partnership liked and supported him.
It is only when we realized that he was a one trick pony, all bark and no bite, and when we realized that he was one tantrum away from sicking his dogs on anybody we started to pull back.
Then there was emailgate, the hoax that led us to believe that we could not trust him, and the final straw was his flip flop on Jack Warner, the embrace of a man he derided as a political criminal not twenty four hours before, that told us here was a man too dangerous to trust with real power, a man that was willing to do and say anything to get what he wants.
Skin too dark?
He could be neon green with yellow polka dots Trinis way beyond that. But i know Fitzgerald's kung fu well, his job is to dare us to vote for a dark skinned man to prove him wrong.
I say fine, i agree with Fitzy, bring the blackest man you could find, only take this one back, because none of trust him any longer...
